Catherine is a writer and performer whose work sits at the intersection of dark comedy, queerness, and self-implication. Her stories tend to look like elevated takes on late-stage capitalism and romantic obsession, but they are, underneath, love stories — about how women find love in a world that teaches them security is something else.
Her short film Plan B(e) debuted at Sunscreen Film Festival. Her feature The Muse advanced to the second round of the Sundance Writers' Lab. She is currently developing Hussy, a half-hour TV series, and Pent/House, a high-concept feature.
Her debut solo show, The Only Man Who Won't F*ck Me, premieres at Edinburgh Fringe 2026 (ZOO Playground 2, 7–30 August). A Catherine Taaffe Production, in association with Suzanna Rosenthal.
She splits her time between Brooklyn and Los Angeles.
